Let's Lose It!

So, I lost 15 pounds in the month of June. That was the start of this journey, really. I was 245 pounds, which is my highest number EVER in my life. In June I started walking daily on my treadmill and restricting calories, eating 5x a day, small meals with low fat/low carb choices. I didn't actually lose as fast as I used to be able to - in the past I could have easily lost 20 in a month. But, menopause and metabolic changes have made it harder to take off the weight.
Anyway, after losing 15 in June I was fairly pleased and gung-ho to keep going! Then my treadmill started to slip! I tried fixing it several times with no luck. I found youtube videos that demonstrated what to do, and I tried that. No luck. I was so disappointed and discouraged that I stopped my walking program all together. Needless to say, I havent lost an ounce since the end of June. In fact, this morning I'm up by 2.5 pounds to 232.5.
Today's goal is to get back on that treadmil and see if the last time I adjusted it might have done the trick. If not, then I will have to come up with another strategy for getting my walking in. There are a few more days in August, and I'm aiming to get back to the 230 mark by the first day of Sept, so I can continue from there. My goal for Sept. is to lose another 15 pounds! I'm having allergy issues right now, otherwise I'd have gotten on the treadmill already. But, in general, I do better to exercise in the afternoon or evening, just more motivated then. So, stay tuned!
